![]() ![]() It should not overshadow other upgrades in the same slot, making the ship overpowered, and the upgrade itself mandatory for optimal performance.It should either emphasize a particular playstyle on the ship or, alternatively, suggest a new way to play it.It should create additional variety in how players can build their ship by providing an alternative option to the existing upgrades.Some are best when stacked with another upgrade in another slot, like the Des Moines UU working best with the Slot 4 Propulsion module installed as well.First of all, let's define what a Unique Upgrade (UU) should and should not do by as per the current design: Some go in slot 5 and some in slot 6, so you need to factor in the regular upgrade that you would have used in that slot. ![]() Here is all the math done on all the currently available UUs so you are not trying to figure out what +x% and -y% means. So do check out the info on the UUs before you install them. NOTE: if you sell off a Unique (Legendary) Upgrade instead of demounting it, you will need to put in a support ticket to get it back like if you had sold off a premium ship. So if you are patient, just play the ships and they will come. I have DM and play mainly co-op, so it took me 9 months of playing to get the UU by just playing 1-2 battles at a time with a few days of more. The grind is long, so some people that have focused on getting the UU as soon as possible got sick of the ship by the time they got the UU. You get the Unique (Legendary) Upgrades just by playing. I'm relying on you seasoned Commanders advice. I'm more of Generalist than a specialist. No good with new CV rework, and am a lousy DD commander. I tend to float Heavy CA/CR, but will run a BB happily. I've got a few Tier X ships, but I am uncertain which Legendary Upgrade is worth the long grind? I am financially challenged at the moment so I can't purchase some of them in the Armory. ![]()
